About Julie

Why Cakes?

When Julie was growing up both her Mother and Grandmother were very good bakers.  She learned to cook and create from them. It started with birthday cakes for family and friends.  As more people enjoyed Julie’s delicious cakes requests started coming in; asking if she would consider decorating a beautiful cake for them?  Just one? Maybe two? Soon it was one cake, two cake, three cake, four!

The cakes outgrew the kitchen in Julie’s house! So the cakes became part of Sweet shop in downtown Fremont. The Tasty Cakery continued to grow its customer base for cakes, cupcakes and specialty orders. When the family creating the chocolates and sweets retired from the business Julie continued on and opened her Tasty Cakery and Sweets at its current location at 14 West Main Street in downtown, Fremont, Michigan.
